About The British School of Beijing, Shunyi
The British School of Beijing, Shunyi is a co-educational day school operated by Nord Anglia Education, located in the Shunyi District of Beijing near the Capital International Airport. The Shunyi campus opened in 2009, six years after the original British School of Beijing campus at Sanlitun, and is the larger of the two, accommodating approximately 1,500 students from Pre-Nursery through Year 13 (ages 2–18). The school serves a significant proportion of diplomatic and corporate expatriate families based in the Shunyi area.
The Shunyi campus follows the English National Curriculum throughout primary years, transitioning to IGCSE in secondary and offering either the IB Diploma Programme or A Levels in the Sixth Form. Annual tuition fees for Year 3 in the 2026–27 academic year are RMB 308,800, identical to those at the Sanlitun campus. Fees are published annually in advance and payable in RMB. An optional school bus service is available at additional cost depending on distance from school.
